Southern Pecan Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 lb. light brown sugar
    3/4 c. water
    4 eggs, beaten
    1/4 c. butter or oleo
    1 tsp. vanilla
    1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell
    1 c. pecan halves
Preparation
    Combine sugar and water in saucepan.
    Cook and stir until sugar dissolves.
    Bring to boil and cook 3 minutes (gradually). Add hot syrup to eggs, stirring constantly.
    Add butter and vanilla.
    Pour into pie shell.
    Arrange pecans on filling.
    Bake at 350\u00b0 about 1 hour or until set.
    Cool.
