Pasulja Iz Kapusta(A Russian Specialty) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 to 3 lb. lamb
    1 onion
    1 large can sauerkraut
    2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
    1 small head cabbage
    2 cans kidney beans
Preparation
    Brown lamb with or without bone in stew style and drain off excess fat; with meat, brown onion and add salt and pepper to taste.
    Add 1 cup water and steam for 45 minutes.
    Add 1 large can sauerkraut, which has been drained, 2 cans tomato sauce and a small head of cabbage, which has been finely cut.
    To this, add a little more water and a grated small onion into it.
    Cook 45 minutes, then add cans of kidney beans.
