Shrimp In Batter - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. water
1 slice lemon
3/4 c. all-purpose flour
1/4 c. cornstarch
1 egg, beaten
1/2 tsp. freshly ground black pepper
1/2 tsp. m.s.g. or Accent (optional)
1/2 tsp. salt
1 1/2 lb. prawns or medium size shrimp, peeled and deveined (with tails left on)
cooking oil (for frying)
Preparation

Wash shrimp; dry with paper towel.
Place in a bowl.
Add lemon juice, salt, pepper and Accent.
Prepare batter.
Combine cornstarch, flour, egg and water.
Mix well.
Heat cooking oil. Dip shrimp in batter and deep fry a few at a time until golden brown.
Drain on paper towel.
Serve with sweet and sour sauce or catsup.
