Angel Food Cake - cooking recipe

1 c. cake flour
1 doz. egg whites
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 c. confectioners sugar
1 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
1/4 tsp. salt
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375\u00b0.
Sift together flour and confectioners sugar.
Beat egg whites and cream of tartar in a large bowl on medium speed.
Beat in sugar on high speed, 2 tablespoons at a time.
Beat until stiff and glossy.
Add salt and vanilla. Sprinkle flour and sugar mixture, 1/4 cup at a time.
Cut through batter with metal spatula after pouring into tube pan.
Bake for 40 minutes.
Cool upside down for 1 1/2 hours.
