Chicken And Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 egg
    1 1/2 c. flour
    1/2 c milk
    walnut-sized dollop of shortening
    1 chicken, cooked (remove meat from bones)
    1 qt. chicken broth
    salt to taste
Preparation
    Mix egg, flour, milk and shortening.
    Roll out and cut in 2-inch squares. In a pot, heat broth and drop in dough and chicken.
    Cook for a half hour.
    This makes a hard dumpling.
