Chocolate Amaretto Frosting - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. heavy cream
    3 1/2 Tbsp. butter
    1 c. (8 oz.) chocolate chips
    1/4 c. Amaretto
Preparation
    Heat cream and butter in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat, stirring until butter melts and cream just comes to a boil. Remove from heat; add chocolate chips and stir until completely melted.
    Stir in Amaretto.
    Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours, stirring every 1/2 hour or so as mixture cools and thickens.
    Frost cake and refrigerate.
    Frosting gets quite soft at room temperature.
