Potato Dumplings - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. potatoes, cooked and mashed
    2 Tbsp. flour
    1 Tbsp. melted shortening
    1 egg, slightly beaten
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/8 tsp. nutmeg
Preparation
    Combine all ingredients; mix thoroughly.
    Divide into 12 portions and shape into balls.
    Chill.
    Drop onto gently boiling sauerbraten.
    Cover closely and steam for about 12 minutes.
