Hush Puppies - cooking recipe

Ingredients

1 c. meal
1/4 c. buttermilk
1/2 tsp. soda
1/2 tsp. salt and pepper
1/2 tsp. baking powder
2 tsp. minced onion

Preparation

Mix meal, onion, salt and pepper.
Dissolve soda in milk and add to meal mixture.
Beat well and drop from spoon into hot fat and brown on both sides.
