Yogurt (Laban) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 gal. milk
    4 Tbsp. starter (old Laban)
Preparation
    Heat milk on low fire until it comes to a scald (froth to top of pot).
    Remove from fire and cool enough so that you could immerse a finger and count to 10.
    Add 1/2 cup warm milk to starter and stir about 10 minutes.
    Pour into container (plastic preferred).
    Cover, then cover with warm towel or cloth.
    Let set in warm place about 6 hours without disturbing.
    Refrigerate. Reserve starter for next batch.
