German Style Potato Salad - cooking recipe
Ingredients

5 lb. potatoes
1 large onion
1 green pepper
1 lb. bacon
1 c. vinegar
1 c. sugar
Preparation

Boil peeled potatoes until cooked.
Dice onion and green pepper.
Cut bacon in small pieces and cook until brown.
Add vinegar and sugar to bacon after it is brown.
Bring mixture to a boil. Dice potatoes into cubes.
Add chopped onions and green pepper. Add all ingredients in bowl and mix. Allow to set at room temperature for 1 hour, uncovered.
Serve still warm. Salt and pepper to taste.
