Turtle Brownies - cooking recipe

1 (14 oz.) pkg. light caramels
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
1 c. pecan pieces
3 Tbsp. soft butter or margarine
2 eggs
3 Tbsp. water or evaporated milk
1 (6 oz.) pkg. chocolate chips
Preparation

Melt caramels and 1/2 cup evaporated milk over low heat. Watch carefully and stir often.
Mix cake mix, nuts, butter or margarine, eggs and 3 tablespoons evaporated milk or water until moistened.
Press half of the mixture in a 9 x 13-inch pan.
Bake 6 minutes at 350\u00b0.
Remove from oven.
Pour melted caramels over; sprinkle with chocolate chips.
Top with remaining cake mixture. Bake 15 to 20 minutes at 350\u00b0. Cut into squares when cool.
