1/2 stick butter or oleo
3 large potatoes, pared and sliced (4 c.)
2 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. basil
1/4 tsp. pepper
2 c. water
1 (1 lb.) pkg. frozen cod or haddock fillets, partly thawed and cut into cubes
1 (12 or 16 oz.) can whole or cream-style corn
1 tall can evaporated milk
