Mrs. Clara Holste'S White Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. sugar
    1/2 c. shortening (scant)
    3 egg whites
    1 c. water
    2 c. flour, measured before sifting
    2 tsp. baking powder
Preparation
    Cream sugar and shortening well. Add flour and water alternately, then beaten egg whites. Bake at 350\u00b0 for 20 to 25 minutes.
