Southern Fried Catfish - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 lb. pan-dressed catfish
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 c. yellow corn meal
    1 tsp. salt (optional)
    1/2 tsp. pepper
    vegetable cooking oil
Preparation
    Cut fish into serving-size pieces if fish fillets are large. Combine corn meal mixture.
    Heat oil in skillet until hot.
    Fry fish in hot oil over medium-high heat, turning fish carefully until brown on both sides, about 10 minutes.
