Gingerbread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1/2 c. brown sugar, packed
1/2 c. shortening
2 eggs
1/4 c. molasses
1 1/4 c. sifted flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1 1/4 tsp. ginger
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/4 tsp. ground cloves
1/2 c. hot water
Preparation

In large bowl, combine brown sugar, shortening, eggs and molasses; blend well.
Combine flour, salt, soda, baking powder and spices; gradually blend into molasses mixture.
Blend in hot water.
Pour batter into a greased and floured 9 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 25 to 30 minutes.
