Ingredients

1 1/4 c. flour
1/2 c. sugar
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 c. milk
1 egg, unbeaten
1 c. quartered dates
1 c. nuts, chopped
1 1/2 c. brown sugar
1 1/2 c. hot water
Preparation

Mix together first 7 ingredients; add dates and nuts.
Pour into well-greased and floured large baking pan.
Dissolve brown sugar in hot water; pour over batter.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 35 to 45 minutes.
Yields 12 servings.
Pudding is delicious with whipped topping.
