Wild Rice Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2/3 c. wild rice
    1 medium chopped onion
    1/2 chopped green pepper
    1/2 to 3/4 c. chopped celery (more if desired)
    salt and pepper to taste
    1 tsp. sage
    2 Tbsp. melted butter
    1 lightly beaten egg
    1 can creamed mushroom soup or celery soup
    1 c. water
Preparation
    Wash required amount of rice under cold water in strainer. Soak overnight in cold water.
    Drain and stir into 3 times the amount of boiling water (1 cup rice requires 3 cups water). Parboil for 5 minutes only.
    Remove from heat; let soak in the same water (covered) for 1 hour.
    Drain, wash in cold water and cook as directed in recipe.
