Spaghetti Sauce - cooking recipe
Ingredients

8 Tbsp. oil or shortening
6 medium onions, chopped
4 stalks celery, chopped
2 c. green pepper, chopped
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. oregano
dash of pepper
3 c. tomato paste
1 c. tomato sauce
14 c. tomatoes, chopped and peeled
Preparation

In a frying pan, cook onions, celery and green peppers in oil until tender.
In a large saucepan or Dutch oven, add these to remaining ingredients and simmer, covered, for several hours until desired thickness is reached.
Stir occasionally.
Cook, uncovered, for last of period of time to hasten thickening.
