Chocolate Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 Tbsp. butter
    1/2 c. milk
    6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate
Preparation
    Put the sugar into a saucepan; mix with the milk to form a thick paste.
    Add the butter and stir in the grated or chopped chocolate.
    Put the pan over low heat and cook, stirring constantly.
    Do not let the contents of the saucepan come to a boil until the sugar has dissolved and the chocolate has melted. Then increase the heat slightly and let the mixture boil for about five minutes, or until it reaches the soft ball stage.
    Take the fudge off the heat; beat it until it is thick and pour into an 8-inch square buttered pan.
    Cut the fudge into 1-inch squares before it has time to get cold.
    Yields 1 1/2 pounds.
