The Ultimate Rice Pudding...Raisins Optional - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. raw rice
    6 c. milk
    pinch of salt
    3/4 c. sugar
    2 eggs, beaten
    1/2 c. milk
    2 tsp. vanilla
    1 c. heavy whipping cream
    cinnamon or nutmeg to taste
    raisins
Preparation
    Rinse rice and cook in 6 cups of milk. Add salt. At low boil, simmer 20 minutes. Add sugar. Simmer until mixture thickens. Blend eggs in 1/2 cup milk. Add egg/milk mixture and vanilla to rice. Bring to a boil. Add cream. Return to boil. Remove from heat. Stir in raisins. Add spice to taste. Cool and refrigerate.
