Catfish Stew - cooking recipe
Ingredients

6 slices bacon
3 medium potatoes, sliced thin
2 medium onions, sliced thin
1 c. tomatoes, chopped
1 lb. catfish fillets
salt and pepper to taste
1/4 tsp. crushed red peppers (optional)
Preparation

Cut bacon in 1-inch square.
Place in pan and fry crisp. Remove from fire and layer potatoes, onions and fish.
Salt and pepper each layer.
Use enough water just to cover ingredients. Sprinkle red peppers over top and add cup of chopped tomatoes. Simmer until potatoes are done.
