Refrigerator Rolls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2 c. lukewarm water
1/2 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. salt
2 cakes yeast
1 egg
1/4 c. soft shortening
6 1/2 to 7 c. flour
Preparation

Mix water, sugar and salt. Add yeast. Stir until dissolved. Stir in egg and shortening.
Gradually add flour.
Place in greased bowl.
Rub surface with soft shortening. Cover tightly. Place in refrigerator until ready to use.
Shape into rolls.
Let rise 1 1/2 to 2 hours. Bake 12 to 15 minutes in a 400\u00b0 oven. Dough is easier to handle if kneaded before storing.
