Ben'S Peanut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. sugar
    2 c. white corn syrup
    2 1/2 c. raw peanuts
    1 Tbsp. margarine
    1/8 tsp. salt
    1/4 c. water
    1 heaping tsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Combine sugar, syrup and water; cook to 240\u00b0.
    Add peanuts and cook to 300\u00b0, stirring occasionally.
    Add margarine, salt and soda.
    Stir well and pour on a greased marble slab or cookie sheet.
    Stretch or pull until thin.
    This must be done quickly. Cool and break in pieces.
