Freezer Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 medium head cabbage
    1 tsp. salt
    1 c. vinegar
    1/4 c. water
    2 c. sugar
    1 tsp. celery seed
    1 tsp. mustard seed
    1 medium carrot
    1 medium green bell pepper
Preparation
    Mix shredded cabbage and salt in large bowl.
    Let stand for 1 hour.
    Combine vinegar, water, sugar, celery seed and mustard seed in small saucepan.
    Bring to a boil.
    Cook for 1 minute, stirring to mix well.
    Cool to lukewarm.
    Press moisture from cabbage mixture.
    Add grated carrot and finely chopped green pepper.
    Mix well.
    Add lukewarm dressing.
    Mix well.
    Spoon into freezer containers, leaving 1/2-inch headspace.
    Freeze until needed. Makes 8 servings.
