Strawberry Shortcut Cake - cooking recipe

1 c. miniature marshmallows
2 c. strawberries
1 (3 oz.) pkg. strawberry gelatin
2 1/4 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. shortening
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
3 eggs
Preparation

Sprinkle marshmallows over bottom of pan.
Combine thawed strawberries and syrup with dry gelatin; set aside.
In large mixer bowl, combine remaining ingredients.
Blend at low speed until moistened; beat 3 minutes at medium speed.
Pour batter evenly over marshmallows in pan. Spoon strawberry mixture evenly over batter.
Bake at 350\u00b0 for 45 to 50 minutes.
