Bran Muffins - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 c. boiling water
3 c. All-Bran
1 1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. vegetable shortening
2 eggs
1/2 tsp. salt
2 1/2 c. flour
2 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. soda
3/4 c. raisins
Preparation

Pour boiling water over 1 cup All-Bran.
Set aside to cool. Cream sugar and shortening.
Add eggs, one at a time.
Sift together salt and flour.
Combine soda and buttermilk.
Alternate flour and buttermilk mixtures into sugar mixture.
Mix until smooth.
Add first mixture of All-Bran.
Blend in raisins.
Blend in 2 cups All-Bran; refrigerate.
