Oatmeal Bread - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. boiling water
1 c. rolled oats
1/3 c. shortening
2 eggs, beaten
1/2 c. molasses
1 tsp. salt
2 pkg. yeast
5 1/2 c. flour
Preparation
-
Pour boiling water over oats.
Add shortening, molasses and salt.
Dissolve the yeast in 1/2 cup lukewarm water.
Add to cooled mixture.
Add the beaten eggs and flour.
Knead 5 minutes.
Place in greased, covered bowl in warm place.
