Pat'S All State Fudge - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 1/2 c. sugar
    1 (13 oz.) can evaporated milk
    18 oz. chocolate chips
    2 sticks (1/2 lb.) margarine
    3 Tbsp. vanilla
    nuts (if desired)
Preparation
    Combine sugar and milk in a large saucepan.
    Boil 6 minutes, stirring constantly.
    Add chocolate chips; stir in.
    Add margarine and vanilla.
    Stir until thick.
    Add nuts, if desired.
    Pour into greased pan.
    Cool 6 hours.
    Makes 5 pounds of fudge.
