Perfect Baked Custard - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 eggs
    1/2 to 3/4 c. sugar
    1/2 tsp. salt
    4 c. hot milk
    2 tsp. vanilla
Preparation
    Combine eggs, sugar and salt in mixing bowl.
    Beat just enough to
    blend together.
    Add hot milk slowly and mix well. Stir
    in vanilla.
    Strain.
    Pour
    into
    1
    1/2
    quart shallow baking
    pan or 1 1/2 quart deep casserole.
    Place in a pan of hot
    water. Bake
    in
    slow
    (325\u00b0)
    oven until knife inserted halfway
    between center and edge comes out clean.
    For shallow pan,\tallow 45 minutes.
    For deep casserole, allow 60 minutes. Cool.
    Makes 6 to 8 servings.
