1 Egg Cake - cooking recipe

2 c. flour
1 1/4 c. sugar
2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. salt
1/2 c. shortening
1/2 c. milk
1 egg (unbeaten)
1/2 c. milk
1/4 tsp. lemon juice
1 tsp. vanilla
1 drop almond flavoring
Preparation

Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
Put flour, sugar, baking powder and salt in mixing bowl.
Add shortening and milk with mixer.
Beat 2 minutes on medium speed or by hand 300 strokes.
Add unbeaten egg, milk, lemon juice, vanilla and almond flavoring.
Beat 2 minutes with mixer or 300 strokes by hand.
Pour in 2 pans and bake 25 to 30 minutes.
