Raisin Frosting - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 1/2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
2 egg whites
1/3 c. water (cold)
dash of salt
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. ground raisins
Preparation

Grind 1/2 cup raisins (best in old-time meat grinder); set aside.
In double boiler, place all ingredients except vanilla. Beat 30 seconds on low speed.
Place over boiling water in double boiler and cook for 7 minutes while beating constantly with electric mixer until frosting forms stiff peaks.
Do not overbeat. Remove from heat.
Add vanilla.
Beat for 2 to 3 more minutes. Fold in raisins.
