Brownies - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    shortening
    1/4 c. margarine
    1 (5.5 oz.) can chocolate syrup
    1/2 c. flour
    1/3 c. sugar
    1/4 tsp. baking soda
    2 eggs
    1/3 c. miniature semi-sweet chocolate pieces
    1/3 c. walnut or pecan pieces
Preparation
    Preheat oven to 350\u00b0.
    Spread shortening on bottom of 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
    In saucepan, put margarine in; heat over medium burner until melted.
    Remove pan from burner; stir in chocolate syrup, flour, sugar and baking soda.
    Add eggs, mixing everything. Pour batter into greased pan.
    Bake for 18 to 20 minutes.
    Take out; sprinkle chocolate pieces and nuts on top.
