Pinto Bean Casserole - cooking recipe
Ingredients

1 lb. hamburger
1/3 c. chopped onion
2 c. cooked pinto beans
2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
2 tsp. chili powder
2 c. canned tomatoes or 1 c. catsup
3/4 tsp. salt
2 Tbsp. flour
10 Tbsp. self-rising cornmeal
1/2 c. buttermilk
1 egg, beaten
1 1/2 Tbsp. oil
Preparation

Brown hamburger and onion; drain off fat.
Add Worcestershire sauce, chili and tomatoes or catsup.
Add beans.
Pour into a 13 x 9-inch casserole.
Mix the flour, cornmeal, buttermilk, egg and oil.
Stir until blended.
Spread on top of bean mixture.
Bake for 20 minutes at 425\u00b0.
Good with slaw or tossed salad.
