Make Your Own Christmas Ornaments - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. Arm & Hammer baking soda
    1 c. cornstarch
    1 1/4 c. water
Preparation
    In a saucepan, stir together the baking soda, cornstarch and water.
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until mixture is consistency of moist, mashed potatoes.
    It will look thin at first, but will get thicker as it cooks.
    Turn out on a plate. Cover with damp cloth until cool enough to handle.
    Roll out to 1/2-inch thickness.
    Cut shapes with cookie cutters.
    Put small hole at the top of ornaments.
    Allow to dry on flat surface overnight.
    Paint and decorate.
    Protect with glaze.
