Tohono O'Odham White And Red Bean Soup - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 c. red beans (dry)
    1 c. wheat (dry)
    1/2 c. celery (cholla cactus buds were sometimes used; cholla buds were dethorned and dried)
    1/2 c. chopped onion
    salt and pepper to taste
Preparation
    Boil together until beans and wheat are tender.
