Polish Sauerkraut - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 (8 oz.) can mushrooms, drained
    1 medium bell pepper, chopped
    1 medium onion, chopped
    1 qt. sauerkraut, drained and rinsed
    2 cans Rotel tomatoes (You may want to only use 1 can!)
    salt and pepper to taste
    2 Tbsp. brown sugar
    2 lb. smoked sausage, chopped
Preparation
    Saute mushrooms, onions, and pepper in butter. In crock-pot or Dutch oven, cook smoked sausage until heated thoroughly. Add sauteed vegetables, kraut, tomatoes, salt, and pepper. Cook in crock-pot on high 3 to 4 hours. In Dutch oven, cook about 1 1/2 hours.
