Nut Brittle - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. coarsely chopped pecans, walnuts or peanuts
    1 c. sugar
    1 c. light corn syrup
    1 Tbsp. baking soda
Preparation
    Butter large cookie sheet or spray with Pam.
    Combine nuts, sugar and corn syrup in medium size heavy pan.
    Bring to boiling over medium heat, stirring constantly, 10 to 15 minutes.
    Boil without stirring until it reaches 295\u00b0 on a candy thermometer, about 15 to 20 minutes.
    Remove from heat and stir in baking soda (mixture will foam up).
    Stir quickly until blended and quickly pour onto cookie sheet.
    Spread with thin spatula as thin as possible.
    Cool completely.
    Break into pieces and store in airtight container.
