Bread And Butter Pickles - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    4 qt. sliced cucumbers
    1/3 c. canning salt
    water (to cover pickles)
    5 c. sugar
    1 1/2 tsp. turmeric
    1 1/2 tsp. celery seed
    2 Tbsp. mustard seed
    4 c. vinegar
Preparation
    Soak cucumbers in salt water (1/3 cup canning salt and water to cover cucumbers).
    Soak for 4 hours, then drain well.
