Pickled Beets - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    6 c. vinegar
    6 c. white sugar
    3 c. water
    2 tsp. salt
Preparation
    Wash and cook, beets until tender.
    Peel and slice in bottle. Mix ingredients above and bring to boiling point.
    Do not boil. Pour over beets and sprinkle a little pepper on top of each bottle to taste.
