German Nutmeg Coffee Cake - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 c. brown sugar
    2 c. plain flour
    1/2 c. butter or margarine
    2 tsp. nutmeg
    1 egg
    1 c. buttermilk
    1 tsp. soda
Preparation
    Mix first four ingredients until crumbly.
    Reserve 1/2 cup for topping.
    Beat egg until foamy.
    Add buttermilk and soda.
    Combine this with dry ingredients; mix well.
    Pour into greased 9 x 9-inch pan.
    Sprinkle 1/2 cup reserved ingredients on top.
    Bake 35 to 40 minutes at 350\u00b0.
