Martha Jo'S Peach Cobbler - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1/2 c. butter
    1 c. flour
    1 c. sugar
    3/4 c. milk
    1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
    salt to taste (I use 1/4 tsp.)
    3 c. peaches
    1 c. sugar
Preparation
    Melt butter in a deep baking dish.
    Add batter of flour, sugar, milk, baking powder and salt.
    Beat ingredients together and pour over butter.
    Do not stir.
    Add at least 3 cups peaches. Distribute the fruit evenly over the batter.
    Do not mix. Sprinkle over this 1 cup sugar and bake at 325\u00b0 for 1 hour.
