Margaret'S Prize Popcorn Balls - cooking recipe
Ingredients

2/3 c. corn syrup
2 c. sugar
2/3 c. boiling water
2 tsp. cream of tartar
2 Tbsp. vinegar
2 Tbsp. melted butter
2 tsp. vanilla
1/8 tsp. soda
pan or large bowl popped corn
Preparation

Combine sugar, syrup, water and vinegar.
Heat to boiling and add cream of tartar.
Boil to soft crack stage (275\u00b0 to 280\u00b0). Remove from heat and add butter, soda and vanilla.
Pour over popcorn and form into balls.
Food coloring may be added, a few drops with vanilla.
