Turnip Casserole - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    5 small turnips, peeled and sliced
    2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
    1 1/2 c. soft bread crumbs
    1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. pepper
    1/2 c. milk
    1 Tbsp. butter or margarine, melted
Preparation
    Place turnips in a large saucepan.
    Cover with water and bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 15 minutes or until tender.
    Drain and set aside.
    Melt 2 tablespoons margarine in medium pan.
    Stir in milk; add 1 cup bread crumbs, cheese, salt and pepper.
    Cook over low heat, stirring until thickens.
    Stir in turnips.
    Spoon mixture into lightly greased pan.
    Combine 1/2 cup bread crumbs and 1 tablespoon melted margarine.
    Sprinkle over casserole.
    Bake, uncovered, at 350\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
