Stuffed Mushrooms - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    2 doz. fresh mushrooms, washed and drained
    1/4 c. butter
    1/2 lb. sausage
    1 onion, finely chopped
    1 c. dry sherry
    1/2 c. fine bread crumbs
    1/2 tsp. thyme
    1/4 tsp. sage
    1/4 tsp. salt
    1/8 tsp. coarsely ground pepper
    3 Tbsp. parsley
    1/2 c. heavy cream or sour cream
Preparation
    Remove stems of mushrooms and save.
    Brush clean caps with butter and place in baking dish.
    Saute sausage and onions until lightly browned.
    Drain.
    Add sherry and simmer until liquid is gone.
    Add remainder of ingredients, chopped stems.
    Add enough cream for mixture to be moist, but hold its shape in a spoon. Fill caps and bake at 375\u00b0 for 20 minutes.
