Sourdough Starter - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 pkg. dry yeast
    2 1/2 c. warm water
    1 Tbsp. sugar
    2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
Preparation
    In a large pitcher, dissolve yeast in 1/2 cup of water.
    Stir in remaining water, sugar and flour.
    Beat until smooth.
    Cover; let stand for 5 to 10 days, stirring 2 to 3 times a day and carefully recovering each time.
