Ingredients

2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1 1/2 cups light brown sugar
1 egg
6 Tbsp. milk
1/4 cup water
1/3 butter
3/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Sift flour, baking powder and salt together.
Cream butter and add to flour mixture.
Add brown sugar.
When mixture is crumbly, take out 1 cup and add cinnamon to this.
Mix well beaten egg, milk and water.
Stir into flour mixture.
Do not mix until smooth.
Put into a greased 9X9X2 baking pan and sprinkle with reserved mixture.
Bake about 25 minutes or until cake shrinks from pan.
