Lemon Meringue Pie - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 baked 9-inch pie shell
    1 1/2 c. granulated sugar
    1/2 c. all-purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1 1/4 c. milk
    1 c. water
    3 eggs, separated
    6 Tbsp. lemon juice
    6 Tbsp. sugar
Preparation
    Combine 1 cup of sugar, flour and salt in double boiler.
    Add the milk and water, stirring constantly.
    Cook until smooth and thickened.
    Beat egg yolks with 1/2 cup of sugar and gradually pour hot mixture over them while stirring.
    Return to double boiler and cook 10 to 15 minutes more.
    Add lemon juice; mix well.
    Cool and pour into pie shell and top with meringue made by beating the 3 egg whites until quite stiff, gradually add 6 tablespoons sugar while continuing to beat until stiff.
    Bake in 300\u00b0 oven until light brown.
