24 Hour Cole Slaw - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    3 qt. cabbage, shredded
    4 large onions
    1 large can pimento and juice, chopped
    2 1/2 c. sugar
    1 1/2 Tbsp. celery seed
    2 c. vinegar
    1 Tbsp. turmeric
    1 Tbsp. salt
Preparation
    Bring sugar, vinegar, celery seed, turmeric and salt to a boil. Add cabbage, onions and pimento and juice.
    Remove from heat. Place in gallon jar and let stand for 24 hours.
