Corn Cob Jelly(Sometimes Called Poor Man'S Jelly) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 doz. medium size red corn cobs
    2 qt. water
    1 1/4 oz. pkg. powdered pectin
    3 c. corn cob juice
    3 c. sugar
Preparation
    Wash corn cobs and cut into 4-inch lengths.
    Place in container and add 2 quarts of water.
    Bring to a boil.
    Reduce heat and boil slowly for 30 minutes.
    Strain the juice.
    Measure 3 cups of juice into a large saucepan.
    Add pectin and bring to a boil.
    Add sugar and bring to boiling point again.
    Boil 5 minutes.
    Skim, then pour into sterilized jars and seal.
