Lentils And Rice (Imjadara) - cooking recipe

Ingredients
    1 1/2 c. lentils
    3/4 c. rice, rinsed (Riceland, short grain)
    1 small onion, diced
    1 small onion, diced and fried in butter
    4 Tbsp. butter
    salt
Preparation
    In 4 cups of water, boil lentils, diced onion and 4 tablespoons butter for 30 minutes.
    Add fried onion in butter to lentil mixture.
    Add rice and cook slowly until rice is done.
    Add salt to taste.
    Serves 6.
    Very good with cabbage salad with Lebanese Salad Dressing.
